Genesis 3:21- The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
Psalm 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
The main functions of the skin are to protect the body as a physical barrier against microbes, UV rays, and injury; regulate body temperature through sweating and blood vessel dilation; and act as a sensory organ for touch, pain, and temperature. It also synthesizes vitamin D when exposed to sunlight, excretes waste through sweat, and stores water, fat, and other substances.
